Brooklyn Guest Haus

I just wanted to write a review that tells people if you are looking for a clean, nice place that won’t break the bank this is it. It was a perfect for our mini vacation to NYC. We loved every minute of our trip. The apartment was spotless and we felt very safe. We would definetly stay here if we come back to the city. The subway ride was not bad at all. I would recommend this to any of my friends and family. Thanks again Wayaye for taking care of us.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. This was our first time staying in a rental property in NYC. Initially we were very hesitant; however our fears were laid to rest by the owners, who were very friendly and helpful from the beginning. Upon arrival we found the property was clean and well maintained as advertised. My mother, who is extremely high maintenance, only had good things to say about the apartment. All of the amenities listed were available and a few extras. There are a variety of stores and restaurants nearby and the subway was conveniently located. We would definitely stay at this property again and recommend it to all of our friends and family who are planning to visit NYC.

My husband and I and our two young children recently rented this fabulous vacation home in Sunset Park and it exceeded all of our expectations. We rented the place with my sister’s family so we had four adults and four young kids and had plenty of room for all. With easy subway access and a 25-30 minute ride into Midtown, this apartment was the perfect launch pad for visiting Manhattan’s many sites. At the end of the day, it was really nice to get out of the hustle and bustle of the City to return to the vacation rental, which is located in a quiet Sunset Park neighbourhood. Sunset Park, the Park itself, which is just around the corner from the vacation rental, is also a great place to go with its fantastic playground, great views of lower Manhattan, and pools in the Summer. We highly recommend this place if you are coming to NYC!

We stayed a week in your wonderful apartment. If you are not in for the service of a multi star hotel this is definitely the place to be. After a day in a city where so much is going on, it felt good to be in a more quiet surrounding with lots of kind people. Much choice in not so crowded restaurants and shops for daily essentials. After one day we already spoke about “going home” when we returned to the apartment.
It really has all to make you feel at home. In only 30 minutes you are by express subway in the center of Manhattan, so everything NY has to offer is nearby. We surely want to come back.

We had a wonderful experience. Upon arrival, Stefan made us feel very much at home. The place has a very “early 20th century” feel about it. Lots of space, good light, and comfortable furniture and beds. About a 15 minute walk from the subway, this is a great location for staging any trip to the New York City area.

As a regular visitor in New York area it’s been more than interesting to see all the changes during last 30 years. During the new Millennium all the costs for a traveler in the middle of “Big Apple” rocketed sky high, so it was time to find something real without “icy smiles” and continuing ” have a nice days”.

We found it from Brooklyn and are more than willing to promote Stefan’s & Wagaye’s house. One week, seven days in the beginning of November, four guys from Finland with lots of experience, good & bad from all over the World. Bauer Family gave us the real “Real Thing” with all the help we needed there. Kiitos, Thank You, Vielen Danke, Merci and everything else also.

Our stay in NYC was top notch (once again). We also enjoyed your rental apartment in Brooklyn: especially the quiet location, the size and the good interior convinced us. With six people we had abundant space to relax, or to have breakfast or cook together etc. I hope we have the opportunity to stay with you again before too long. We also want to thank you for the cordial reception through you and your wife!

Das Beste, was uns in NY passieren konnte! Sehr nette, hilfsbereite, aber diskrete Gastgeber. Ein großes, helles Apartment abseits vom Manhattantrubel mit guter Anbindung an die Metro. War eine tolle Woche, bis hoffentlich bald wieder, vielen Dank Familie Bauer!

es kommt mir vor wie ein Traum - nun sind wir seit gestern morgen wieder zurück in RE - und die wunderschöne Woche in eurer Wohnung - im trubeligen NY ist vorbei - —-!  Wir hatten wirklich riesen Glück Eure Ferienwohnung istt super und wir haben es alles sehr genoßen, konnten wir so, nach den anstrengenden Fußmärschen und den fantastischen Eindrücken abends immer in “heimelige Atmosphäre” eintauchen und alles in Ruhe verarbeiten - für die Kinder besonders wichtig, da es für die kleineren das erste Mal in so einer Weltstadt war.
